About The Show
Hey! If you’re reading this… welcome! We’re so glad to have you here! Here’s everything you need to know, so please be sure you read me all the way through, because it will answer a lot of the questions you may have.
What is Vibrant Legends?
It’s a space for BIMPOC to get together and play TTRPG games. We want to make it easier for you, yes you, to find, connect with, and game with your fellow BIMPOCs. We also believe elevating the visibility of the BIMPOC community within the general TTRPG community, and we want to do that through streaming the games on Twitch! VL runs every Saturday at 2PM PT/5PM ET for 3 hours. We set up at 1:30 PM PT.
Wait - STREAMING?! OH NO!!!
We have very low tech requirements for our streams. If the idea of streaming makes you uncomfortable, we don’t want you to run away! The Vibrant Legends team will handle the technical aspects of streaming, so there will be no fancy software for you to download or buttons to click. If you want to GM, we will make it easy for you to get in the GM seat! If you are uncomfortable with showing your face on the stream, you are still incredibly welcome at our table as a voice only player. If you have any other concerns, the organising team is here to help.

Okay, cool! How do I sign up? How does this actually work?
Why are you doing Oneshots? Can I do a campaign? I really want a campaign.
We decided to start with oneshots because they’re a great way for folx to get playing with lower levels of commitment than a weekly or biweekly campaign. We want to make this easy for you. We also like this idea because if you’re new to TTRPGs, oneshots are an easy way for first time players to get involved, or seasoned players to learn a new system. Also, streaming can be daunting if you’ve never done it before, so a oneshot is a great way to slowly ease into it. And, we want to showcase as many BIMPOC as possible. We have definitely had some oneshots return for a part 2 or part 3, so don't be surprised if you get to play your character again!
What's this I hear about a stipend?
At the end of every month, Vibrant Legends will take all of the cash from Patreon and stream donations and pay all GMs, players, and volunteers an equal sum of cash via Paypal (number of players+GMs+Volunteers for the month divided by income for the month). If you played multiple times that month, you will get the same stipend times the number of times you participated. It's our way of saying thank you!

- a computer/tablet/phone capable of running Zoom and Google Chrome
- a decent microphone
- a camera (not mandatory)
- headphones
- and your love of the game
For streaming, we use the following programs:
- Zoom for our video chat
- Google Chrome web browser
- WebCaptioner.com to provide captions (no download required, but there is some setup)
- And, of course, all our organizing is done on our Discord server.
Okay, cool! How do I sign up? How does this actually work?
- If you’re not a part of The Dicey Amazons Discord Server, we highly recommend you join. It’ll make it easiest for you to connect and organise with the people involved, PLUS you get to hang out with BIMPOC!
- All interested players and GMs MUST familiarize themselves with our Code of Conduct.
- All interested players and GMs need to fill out the signup form! It's very brief, and goes through what is required of you to participate, and what our expectations are. Leona will approve it, and let you know as soon as it is approved. After that, you’re free to put your name on our signup calendar for games!
- IF YOU WANT TO GM: Sign up on this calendar for the day(s) on which you would like to run a game. Add the name of the game and the system (and, if you know whether you need a window for Roll20, a map, a dice roller, etc, give us a heads up on that too!), as well as a description. Please be aware that we reserve the right to deny any game for any reason (though this is highly unlikely).
If your game is a homebrew, please get a quick OK from Leona before you add it to the calendar. All games are to be capped at an absolute maximum of 5 players + GM. As the GM, you are allowed to request fewer players. - IF YOU WANT TO PLAY: Players can sign up for games on the calendar once a GM’s name is in a slot. Give a heads up to our team so we know! If you sign up for a game, it’s your responsibility as the player, to follow through on your commitment to that game, unless there are reasonable extenuating/emergency circumstances. Please note that GMs have final approval over who plays in their games. Signing up for a slot does not guarantee you will be able to play in that game.
- Cutoff for signup is 2 nights prior to stream date - if the slots are not filled, no game will run that scheduled Saturday. This is to ensure there is enough notice for everyone to be prepared.
- Leona and the VL team will ensure the GM is connected to the appropriate producer to ensure both are comfortable with what needs doing on the technical side.
- If all the pieces are in place, then there should be a fairly successful stream!
- Mini and larger campaigns are encouraged, should members of the group be interested in one. It is also totally okay for GMs to grab multiple slots on the schedule - if you want to GM the first Saturday of every month, for example, that’s super amazing and you’re very welcome to sign up that way! Please try to avoid signing up multiple consecutive Saturdays, however, because we want to give everyone a chance!
